Pharmaceuticals Still Deceiving Consumers

The doctor may be doing you a favor–or may be doing a favor for pharmas like Roche, GlaxoSmithKline, and Abbot Laboratories.

Today’s Financial Times has a well-researched Analysis piece, “A sugared pill” by Andrew Jack who details the efforts to bring complete transparency to how pharmas “seed” studies, ghost write favorable articles to be signed by university professors, reward doctors for writing prescriptions for drugs and develop campaigns to persuade consumers to ask doctors to prescribe a drug.
