Comcast Now In Pursuit of FCC

“Regulatory Capture” Takes New Turn

breaking_news_3-150x150Having just announced purchase of Time Warner Cable for $44 billion, insiders report that Comcast is moving quickly to acquire the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Speaking on conditions of confidentiality, a Comcast executive commented that Comcast purchase of the FCC would be “synergistically superb.” He explained the advantages: Comcast would benefit from having direct management of regulatory issues, FCC employees would have better salary packages and qualify for bonuses previously undreamed of, and consumers would have access to more packages of channels with only slight increases in cost. “A win-win-win all around,” he concluded.
